Festival de Cine Consciente

Festival de Cine Consciente (FCC) is a one-of-a-kind traveling film festival that fosters the power of cinema to raise awareness and inspire action around today’s social and ecological challenges. A project of Tea Time Productions, Actúa Consciente and Yelapa Foundations, one that emerges from arts as a bridge for sustainability. Rooted in community and participation, FCC connects global issues with local realities. Its 2024 edition was held in Yelapa, Jalisco, and the 2025 edition will be soon announced.

Burning Man

Burning Man is a one-of-a-kind gathering in the Nevada desert where a temporary city is created by its participants. It's a space for creativity, art, connection, and celebration, guided by principles such as participation, self-reliance, and communal efforts.

Protea, since the 2023 edition, gifts to Maxa burner community through awareness and sustainability production best practices. In 2024, co-created a pioneering impact report comparing three camps and communities; Maxa, Burners Without Borders, and Long Feng, laying the groundwork for improved practices and future sustainability roadmaps.

Support of regenerative strategies, fostering understanding and engagement with sustainable practices and principles, and co-creation of sustainability roadmaps. Efforts in alliance with TRaShFormaTioN and Tea Time Productions.

Crania Reclaim

Crania Reclaim is a space for creativity and celebration located in the desert and next to the sea in San José del Cabo. It's a dynamic hub that provides the space, tools, environment and linkage for artists and event curators. Crania fosters workshops, artists residencies, cultural exchanges, and live performances.

Since late 2024, Protea is collaborating with Crania to design and implement its first sustainability production guidelines. A project in continuous evolution.

Sustainability in action

Tailored sustainability guidelines, training, and on-the-ground practices to reduce environmental impact. Together, we launched its first responsible waste management system, an ongoing journey toward ecological awareness and habits transformation.

Restaura Experience

Restaura Experience is a transformative gathering in Tulum that honors ancestral wisdom and nurtures deep inner metamorphosis. Through ceremonies, dialogues, workshops, and music, it inspires harmonious living with the Earth and encourages intergenerational and multicultural exchange dor a more conscious-driven life.

In May 2025, its seventh edition marked the first collaboration with sustainability experts, Tea Time Productions, Actua Consciente and Protea.

Sustainability in action

Co-created the project’s first sustainability policy and manifesto, initiated environmental data tracking and reporting, ensured alignment with CONANP guidelines, and joined the “Guardians of the Earth” forum to share experience and vision on collaborative sustainability models.

Corona Capital

Corona Capital is one of Latin America’s leading music festivals, held annually in Mexico City and produced by OCESA. With over a decade of history, it showcases a world-class lineup focused on rock and alternative music. Over the course of three days, the festival welcomes more than 200,000 attendees, making it a landmark event in the region’s cultural and music scene.

Carolina Herrera hosted a distinguished fashion event at the iconic Museo Anahuacalli in Mexico City, celebrating and showcasing its latest collection in a stunning runway show. The event welcomed 500 guests and paid tribute to the richness of Mexican artistry, blending cultural heritage with high-end couture.

Protea collaborated on this event through its alliance with Bureau Betak, the renowned production house behind the event’s execution.

Sustainability in action

Advisory and project management to implement a circularity strategy for the event. Overseeing responsible waste management, material recycling, and the donation of construction and decor elements after the show.

Waking Life

Crato, Portugal

Waking Life is a yearly festival and ongoing land regeneration project in Crato, Portugal, blending music, art, and alternative living. Rooted in eco-communitarian values, it includes the landcare initiative an experimental garden where cultural creation, ecological practices, and local communities intertwine. Together, land and festival form a shared ecosystem of creativity, collective imagination and resilience.

Sustainability in action

Camila has been involved with the Waking Life festival since 2019, initially contributing to the festival’s first environmental assessment as a volunteer. Over the years, she transitioned to co-leading the sustainability department, developing the annual environmental assessment, the sustainability report, and the ongoing design of sustainability best practices.

Bahidorá festival

Morelos, México

Bahidorá is one of Mexico’s leading music and arts festivals, held in the natural paradise of Las Estacas. Renowned for its diverse mix of music, art installations, and cultural experiences, it was the first festival in the country to implement sustainable production practices. With 12 editions and over 10,000 attendees per year, Bahidorá also marks the beginning of Camila’s sustainability journey in 2015, first with Impact0, later as an independent consultant, and eventually as its Director of Sustainability.

Sustainability in action

Key achievements include securing Green Music Initiative certification, receiving the SPRINT20 recognition, and establishing collaborations with Glastonbury Festival. Also, the offset of over 1,500 tons of CO₂ through an ecosystem restoration project in Chiapas. It was also the first festival in Mexico to ban single-use plastics and set sustainability guidelines for sponsorships marking a precedent in the local industry.

Re:Set Gallery is a platform to inspire generations to come, hosting talks, films and resources of festival producers, environmentalists, cultural leaders and change-makers. A platform that explores the role of contraculture and festivals in building societies of tomorrow.

A project launched in 2023 by Céline Huerta and Dan Tsu, born from the collaboration between Bahidorá and Glastonbury Festival (UK), and first presented at Bahidorá through a hybrid symposium.

Sustainability in action

Camila contributed with the academic foundation for the project as well as with the narrative development for the successful Circular Culture fund application (British Council), enabling the recording of the first micro-talks series and the creation of the hybrid symposium at Bahidorá. She also supported the project’s vision through network building.
